Position Description:

The Junior Developer works primarily with our development team to create and maintain web and backend applications.  This role is responsible for testing, fixing, and debugging issues with existing applications, as well as creating new functionality for new/existing software. Successful candidates will join the team at our London, Ontario office. 

This is an on-site position at our London, Ontario, office. Must be able to legally work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, create, validate and maintain customer-facing web applications as well as backend applications.
  • Debugging and fixing issues with existing applications.
  • Continually improve the navigation, usability and performance of websites, applications and the databases they leverage.
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Experience Required:

  • University or college degree (Bachelor’s / Masters / PhD) in a computer programming field.
  • Knowledge or experience with the following technologies (or a subset of this list):
  • C#
  • SQL Server
  • Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code
  • TFS / GIT
  • HTML5/CSS3/Angular/React 

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services. 
  • Knowledge of UX principles. 
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
