The Senior Material Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing material planning and logistics processes during both pre-series and series production phases. This role ensures timely and accurate material availability during new product introduction and acts as a key liaison between internal departments and external suppliers to support smooth project execution. The role includes acting as SAP key user for material and packaging planning processes.

This is currently a flex hybrid work structure, requiring two days per week at our St. Thomas office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Upload and maintain material master data in the SAP system for all BOM components, and ensure the accuracy and timely updates of the manufacturing bill of materials (M-BOM) to support production planning.
  • Upload and maintain packaging master data in SAP, and manage returnable packaging usage and return to optimize resource efficiency.
  • Execute material call-offs based on production schedules and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain daily communication with suppliers to resolve issues related to orders, delivery, availability, shipments, and packaging.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock analysis, and manage shortage alerts to maintain healthy stock. Implement local material shortage management, such as resolving quality-related material blocks, in coordination with HQ.

  • Align material flow of full and empty containers with nominated suppliers to ensure supply continuity.
  • Act as SAP key user for material and packaging planning. Responsibilities include gathering and defining user requirements, coordinating and executing user acceptance testing (UAT), and providing first-level support to SAP users. Additionally, support training efforts, maintain master data accuracy, liaise with IT and process owners for system enhancements, and ensure continuous process improvement within the SAP environment.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Production, Warehouse, Quality, Purchasing, etc.) to ensure smooth logistics operations. Support regional logistics process optimization and standardization to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
